Paediatrician with an interest in Paediatric Dermatology
Dr Teo graduated from the Royal Free and University College London in 2005. She pursued specialised training across various medical disciplines in renowned London hospitals before joining KK Women's and Children's Hospital in 2006.
Dr Teo obtained postgraduate degrees from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2013. Subsequently, in 2016, she earned accreditation as a Specialist in Paediatrics Medicine from the Specialist Accreditation Board and was honored with Fellowship status by the Academy of Medicine Singapore.
In her role as a paediatrician, Dr Teo focuses on general paediatrics such as newborn and well-baby screening, childhood immunisation, developmental assessment, behavioral care guidance, nutrition and growth counseling, and the management of common childhood conditions.
Additionally, she has a particular passion for paediatric dermatology and contributed as a speaker at the 2017 paediatric dermatology workshop held at KK Women's and Children's Hospital. Dr Teo frequently participates in local and international conferences, staying current with the latest advancements in the field.
Dr Teo was recognised with the Long Service Award by KK Women's and Children's Hospital in 2017, celebrating her dedication of over a decade in service to the institution. Prior to joining Parkway MediCentre, Dr Teo was in private practice for 6 years.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr Teo has actively engaged in medical education, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She served as a Paediatric Medicine Clinical Tutor for undergraduates from 2013 to 2016 and held the position of Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She holds a strong belief in the constant evolution of teaching methods to equip future medical professionals with the experience and skills necessary to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
Further demonstrating her commitment to medical education, Dr Teo was appointed as a Physician Faculty Member by SingHealth, entrusted with the responsibility of developing the SingHealth Residency Program into a center of excellence for postgraduate medical education and specialty training.
