When should I get vaccinated before travel?

For optimal protection, travel vaccinations should ideally be given at least 4 – 6 weeks before departure. This allows your body time to build immunity, as some vaccines require 1 – 2 weeks to take effect, while others may require multiple doses over several weeks or months.

Important: Vaccination requirements and travel health advisories are subject to change. Travellers are advised to refer to Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) travel advisories and check destination-specific entry requirements before departure.

Yes, some travel vaccines are suitable for children depending on their age, destination and vaccine type. For example, children travelling to countries like Cambodia or India may benefit from hepatitis A or typhoid vaccination. Our doctors can advise accordingly.
